(December 10, 2007) Achieva Credit Union broke new ground in Pasco County on Wednesday, November 28, 2007 with a ceremony at the future site of their full-service branch in New Port Richey. The branch will be located on the southwest corner of State Road 54 and Madison Street and is scheduled to open in the summer of 2008.
The Honorable Pasco County Commissioners, Mr. Jack Mariano, Vice Chairman (Dist. 5), and Ms. Ann Hildebrand, Commissioner (Dist. 3), as well as representatives from the Pasco County Chamber of Commerce, joined members of Achieva’s Board of Directors and senior management team to commemorate the occasion. The ceremony was marked by commentaries from Achieva’s Board Chairman, Mr. Hugh Kriever, President/CEO, Mr. Joe Newberry, and other members of Achieva’s management team.
Mr. Kriever thanked the Pasco County Commissioners and the City of New Port Richey for welcoming Achieva into the community, noting: “Achieva and New Port Richey have come a long way since 1937, and we are blessed to be a part of New Port Richey’s continued growth and future.” Mr. Newberry echoed a similar view, saying: “This is just the beginning of what I’m sure will be a great relationship between Achieva Credit Union and Pasco County. Being a part of, and giving back to, the communities that we serve is our social responsibility as a Credit Union. We are excited about being an active participant in the numerous things that Pasco County has to offer.”
The credit union contracted with DEI Incorporated for consulting services and construction.
Achieva Credit Union was founded in 1937 as Pinellas County Teachers Credit Union. It currently has approximately $600 million in assets and eight branches serving over 65,000 members. Anyone who lives or works in Pinellas, Pasco, or Hernando County, Florida can bank with Achieva.
