Achieva Credit Union Raises Over $4,000 at 2nd Annual Scrapbook Crop Community Event

3/2/2011 11:47:11 AM

LARGO, FL – February 28, 2011 – Achieva Credit Union held its second Annual Scrapbook Crop Community Event in the Achieva Conference Room at the Gus A. Stavros Institute in Largo, Florida on Saturday, February 19.

Sixty-five “scrappers” spent their day doing what they enjoy most – scrapbooking.  Consultants and vendors were on site to provide help and supplies for purchase, free classes were available for beginners, raffles throughout the day provided extra excitement, and lunch, drinks and snacks helped to keep everyone going.

“We are thrilled that our second Scrapbook Crop was even more of a success than last year” said Debbie Ciechowski, Liquidation Specialist.  “Everyone had a great time and are asking us to hold two a year!” added Kathy Keim, Information Services Specialist.  Both Debbie and Kathy served as co-chairs for the event.

The Scrapbook Crop benefited over $4,000.00 from registration fees, raffle tickets, and sponsorships. The proceeds, along with money raised at another community event planned for later this year, will be distributed to local Pinellas County Classrooms through grants administered by the Pinellas Education Foundation.
