Online Bill Pay

It’s quick, easy, and free to use Online Bill Pay. Here’s a quick guide to get you started.

Log In

  • Enter your account number in the Account Login box
  • New to Home Banking? Use your SSN as your password the first time, and follow the directions to set up SmartShield security measures.
  • Click Online Bill Pay at the top of the screen.
  • Follow easy registration steps as prompted.

Add Bills

  • Create a list of companies or individuals to pay by clicking Add a Bill at the top of the Online Bill Pay screen.
  • Choose the type of biller, and then search by phone number.
  • Choose the most accurate match by address, and confirm the information.
  • Repeat until you have added all the billers or people you want to pay.

Pay Bills

  • On the Payment Center page, you’ll see a list of the billers you have added.
  • Enter the amount of the payment and the payment date in the fields next to the biller(s) you want to pay. This is the date the payment will be debited from your checking account, and received by the biller.
  • The dynamic calendar will pre-fill the earliest possible payment date (often the next day!). Or, click the calendar icon to choose a different payment date.
  • Enter all the payments you want to make at one time, and click Make Payments.


  • Certain billers can send you their bills electronically through Online Bill Pay.
  • If a biller has an “e-Bill” icon next to its name, you may click it to sign up for electronic billing.

Keeping Track

  • You can manage your bills right from the Payment Center page.
  • Bill Reminders can be set up to remind you when bills are due.
  • Pending Payments show you what payments have been scheduled but not yet paid.
  • Recent Payments show payments that have been made already.
