Achieva Street Team Celebrates with Local Schools

6/13/2012 5:15:19 PM

Clearwater, Florida – June 13, 2012 – Achieva Credit Union is once again at work in the community.  To celebrate another successful school year, Achieva surprised two lucky schools with a pizza party.

After asking for teachers to suggest their schools on Facebook, the winners were Ms. Vlahakis’ 5th grade class at Tillman Elementary Magnet School in Sarasota County and Mr. Frioud’s class at Largo High School in Pinellas County.  Achieva Street Team members provided pizza and drinks, along with some Achieva goodies, and celebrated with students during the last week of school.  Students showed their appreciation and excitement with homemade thank you cards.

On any given day the Achieva Street Team can be spotted lending a helping hand to local charitable organizations, raising awareness for important events or showing appreciation to our Achieva members and those who serve our community.

Recently the Street Team has volunteered at the All Children’s Hospital Telethon, supported a book drive for students and parents at New Heights Elementary School and also helped sort book donations to be provided to clients at PARC, showing support of their work to turn disabilities into capabilities for adults and children with developmental disabilities.  In appreciation of the work that SPCA does for neglected pets in the community, the Street Team provided donations of dog and cat food, newspapers, and even some goodies for the team of caregivers that makes it all possible.

Achieva Credit Union takes pride in supporting the communities we serve.  Through our involvement in community activities and local charity organizations, the Street Team works to achieve a brighter future for our members.  Keep your eyes peeled for an Achieva Street Team sighting in your community.
